The Project

Background

The Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau (BVCB) is an arm's length organisation of Belfast City Council with the responsibility of marketing Belfast as a leisure and business destination. In addition, BVCB has the responsibility of running the Belfast Welcome Centre (BWC) and the Tourist Information Centre at Belfast International Airport.

BVCB's online portal www.gotobelfast.com is an award winning site, designed and developed by Biznet Solutions.

Project Objective

The Belfast Visitor and Convention Bureau have the remit of marketing Belfast as a Tourism (Leisure and Business) and Conference venue to the world. Their objective when formulating their E-business strategy was to extend their reach and visibility and to add value to both site users and BVCB members (Tourism and Hospitality businesses). As a forward thinking organisation, they were also committed to making the site a front-runner in terms of technology, commerciality and interactivity.

Biznet Solution

Biznet Solutions have developed a lasting partnership with the BVCB creating an award-winning solution, which has met objectives and strengthened the BVCB's communication strategy.
The system is based on Biznet's Enterprise Information Management framework, giving the BVCB site administrator's ownership and control of all content areas of the site.
