Biznet / BT Hosting partnership success

"We recognised some time ago that we needed a data centre with extensive resources. One that was dedicated tomaintaining power, network connectivity and both physical and logical security," says Adrian Bradley, managing director, Biznet IIS. " "We reviewed all the options and settled on BT."
Telephone House is one of the most secure buildings in the UK. It is the network 'head end' for most of Northern Ireland's telecommunications, with excellent connectivity to a number of nodes on the BT Colossus backbone, which in turn is well connected to other networks worldwide.
The building is of very solid construction, with power feeds from two different grids and has several power generators of its own. Biznet is a local internet registry (LIR) with its own internet protocol (IP) address range, which, through agreement with BT, is routed to the Biznet network in Telephone House, providing a truly independent Biznet data centre within a BT building.
Biznet now bases all its critical services and default point of presence in BT's data centre. These services are managed and supported by Biznet's own dedicated hosting team, on call 24 hours, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
BT provides a communications infrastructure that is reliable, and backed up by supportive and proactive account management. Adrian Bradley notes: "Combining this infrastructure with Biznet's can-do attitude delivers a winning combination. We currently manage and maintain solutions for major blue-chip clients across the globe.
"Our special partnership means that we retain full control and management of our infrastructure, while benefiting from all the advantages of the BT data centre location. "This also adds credibility to everything we do," Adrian adds.
A community of best of breed suppliers works closely with Biznet to extend use of the Biznet/BT infrastructure to their own customer bases.
