The role:
Due to restructuring, continued success and growth, we have exciting roles opening within our Technical Development Team. As a C# .Net, Coldfusion, PHP Developer you will work solely or as part of a designated project team in the development and maintenance of Internet based applications or web site solutions within a wide range of business sectors.
This role provides the opportunity to work in a fast moving, creative and challenging environment with some great and well known Companies and Organizations ranging from the Quinn Group of Companies, Dublin Bus, Tyrone Brick, Tobermore Concrete, Maxol Direct, Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland, Last Minute London to name but a few.
You will typically be working as part of a multi-skilled team including sales, project management, strategic development and Creative Design teams.
Requirements of the job:
The ideal candidates should be educated to diploma/ degree level and have at least 2 years software development experience.
Essential
- C#.Net and VB.net or
- PHP, Coldfusion Experience
- MS SQL Server
- SQL and PL/SQL development
- Good problem solving / analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work independently and within a team
Desired
- Experience using .Net 2.0
- Knowledge of WAI compliance
- Experience using SQL Databases
- Microsoft certifications a plus
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design and develop internet/extranet/intranet applications
· Systems planning, design, implementation and testing.
· Maintaining and enhancing existing web based applications
· Liaising with Clients and project team leaders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate will come from a strong academic background and will ideally have a 2.1 or 1st in an IT or mathematical related subject with a minimum of 2 years commercial experience. Consideration may also be given to candidates with no degree, who have an excellent commercial portfolio.
The following Technical skills are a minimum requirement:
- Demonstrated Skills in HTML, XHTML, Javascript, CSS, Coldfusion, PHP, SQL Server 2000, Microsoft Access.
- Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Knowledge of object-orientated methodologies.
- Knowledge of WAI Accessibility Standards.
- Microsoft Certified Professional a distinct Advantage.
- Coldfusion Certification a distinct Advantage.
- The Candidates should also posses the following:
- Must be detail oriented, good problem solving skills and work well in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to follow technical standards and operating practices.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Must be willing to learn new technologies, be resourceful to solve complex challenges and work well under pressure.
- Be willing to travel
