Biznet IIS makes headline news

Thursday 12 June 2008    Success Stories

Biznet IIS was the only company from Northern Ireland shortlisted and it then took the top honours in two categories – first for IT Project of the Year (private sector) for its work for Dublin-based Integrated Facilities Solutions (IFS); then for Best Use of Technology in Education and Training for the work it carried out for the National Adult Literacy Agency (Nala).

The judging panel was chaired by Eoin O’Driscoll, chairman of Forfas and managing director of technology consultancy Aderra.

In their citation for IT Project of the Year the judges said: “Biznet’s initiative and experience is adding value and is assisting IFS in its product enhancement road map.

The simple act of convincing a traditional industry to change its processes was a significant achievement in itself.”

They were equally impressed by Biznet in the Best Use of Technology in Education and Training category and said the project would make a real difference to hundreds of thousands of adult literacy learners.

Founded in 1997 by university friends Adrian Bradley and Daryl Fullerton in the bedroom of a humble Belfast flat, Biznet has become a major north/south ICT success story and an international player in the internet solutions arena.

Managing director Mr Bradley said: “Our success in these awards was totally unexpected and unprecedented.
It is fabulous for the team at Biznet and our clients to receive recognition for innovation and commercial achievement and it proves that a true partnership approach can achieve rewards for all parties involved.”
